We like to recommend other places for guests to visit (mostly in Apia) so they get to try some great food and see more of the island and have the best experience from their holiday in Samoa. Our food is great and we have an extensive menu but not everyone wants to eat at the same place every day which is cool with us.
Please note there are no restaurants within walking distance of our resort. There are some other hotels/beach fale’s located on the South Coast but all approx 30/40 min drive away.
The main restaurants are all based in Apia and are all recommended below. A Bluesky Data Sim is probably essential to navigate town with Google Maps! Apia is small but very hot and people do get lost!
Family friendly Pizzeria - Giordano's (Open from 3pm inc Sundays - closed Monday). Lovely atmosphere and great for families as opens early. Pre booking at the weekend is advised if having dinner.
Fine Dining - Scalini's Italian. Gourmet food cooked by local highly trained chefs. They have also just opened a deli next door serving pizza and various other yummy Italian food.
There's a fab Ice Cream parlour which is suitable for gluten free / dairy free and is just yummy based opposite Manumea Hotel - Whipped Up Apia just down the road from the Robert Louis Stevenson museum.
Traditional Italian - Paddles on the Wharf opens at 5pm - (opposite Edge Bar which is great for afternoon cocktails overlooking the marina). Paddles has just be refurbished and has a great holiday atmosphere and is owned by a super friendly local / Italian family who are fab hosts (closed Sundays). This family also have Milani Café - great food and coffee based in town opposite the Apollo Cinema.
Fresh fish and Chips straight off the boat - The Fish Market - (approx $6WST) and see the catches of the day on display. Also try Seafood Gourmet Restaurant near The Wharf.
Krush Cafe - Vegan / Veggie / Juices - next door to Touch of Samoa Massage. Great fresh food and amazing juices and enjoy a relaxing massage afterwards! Bali vibes!
Nourish Cafe - Gluten free NZ style cafe in town. Lots of choice. Gets busy at lunch but opens until 3pm.
Coffee Bean Café - located nextdoor to Aqua Samoa Dive HQ. Open until 10pm.
All Things Sweet - right in town, serving great coffee, lots of cakes and pastries all homemade and some lovely fresh sandwiches and salads - very reasonable prices (closed Mondays).
Home Cafe - Quirky, bar and restaurant - full of antiques and collectable, vintage decorations.
Pacific Jewel Cafe - Lovely garden restaurant and gift shop attached. 2 locations in Apia.
Palusami Restaurant recently renamed Mi Amor - Friendly small restaurant located in Moto'otua near the hospital. Lots of traditional Samoan Cuisine in newly opened location. Specialises in beef ribs, steak, traditional bbq, seafood and other local dishes.
Coconuts Resort - Fia Fia Friday - Free if you eat there on the night. Pre book.
Saletoga Resort & Spa - located next to To-Sua Trench. Popular for lunch on a South Coast day out or for a cocktail on your way home.
Taumeasina Bar and Restaurant (not Taumeasina Resort but nearby). Great Island atmosphere, lovely views, nice menu, cold local draft beer and super friendly hosts.
Also Taumeasina Hideaway Bar next door - regular pool comps, great music and atmosphere where you can mix with locals and have a great time.
Le Manumea Hotel - Cross Island Road. Island night every Thursday - $55 WST inc full Samoan buffet, fire show and traditional dancing.
Taumeasina Island Resort - Cabaret shows with Cindy of Samoa run regularly through the week (Wednesday - Saturday) - very loud, rowdy and lots of audience participation and dancing!
Aggies Beach Resort - Island night is Fridays from 6pm (may change). Great afternoon stop for pre flight lunch / swim / cocktails as located next to the airport. They also have a casino for overseas guests - take your passport for ID!
Nightlife in Samoa is quiet and relaxed - our bar has a pool table and a great deck for enjoying a family meal and a game of cards or pool after a long day in the sun but everyone is normally back in their bungalows around 9.30pm. There are bars in town that open later (Edge bar at The Wharf) but again probably not passed midnight. Usually our guests are keen to get up early and make the most of the next day.
